HOLBOX ISLANDS TOUR
The tour to the Holbox Islands is highly recommended for lovers of the sea, jungle, nature and tranquility.
Holbox is a protected area, so it has a unique beauty as it does not have industrial-scale tourist complexes. In Holbox you can find bungalows and small hotels.
Holbox in Mayan means “black hole”, Holbox is a Mexican island located north of the Yucatan Peninsula, it is located inside the state of Quintana Roo and has an extension of 40 km long and 2 km wide with about 34 km of beach towards the North. The population of Holbox is approximately 1,200 inhabitants according to the 2005 census.
Holbox is a destination of adventure and also rest tourism. One of the main activities of the inhabitants of Holbox Island is lobster fishing governed by a ban. Holbox white sand walks along with its crystalline sea are comforting.
So by being in Holbox, visitors can get an idea of what life was like in the fishing villages of the Yucatan Peninsula before they became internationally recognized tourist destinations like Cancun and Tulum 50 years ago.
The beaches of Holbox and Holbox in general is a very quiet island as it is relatively far from large urban centers.
During the tour to the Holbox Islands you can enjoy a boat ride to the Holbox Islands and Isla Pasión. Boat crossings from the mainland to the Holbox Islands are included. During the boat ride you will have included soft drinks, water and beers. You will also know the cenote “Yalahau”. You will also have included typical dishes of the Island such as grilled fish fillet, garlic, breaded, spicy fish fillet or butter, fried fish, chicken milanesa or seafood soup. You can also visit Punta Mosquito. You will also have included 1 hour of bicycle and 2 hours of free time on the Island so you can visit it. BOAT CHIQUILA
The transport will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel in the morning to go to the port of Chiquila where we will proceed to cross by boat to Holbox Island. There will be water, soft drinks, beers and box lunch included.
YALAHAU CENOTE
Once in Holbox we will visit the Yalahau cenote, with very beautiful and refreshing crystal clear waters where you can swim.
ISLA PASION
Then we will visit “Isla Pasion” where you can contemplate beautiful views of the sea, nature and a great variety of birds and aquatic species.
HOLBOX BIKING
You will also have included 1 hour of bicycle to be able to visit interesting sites in Holbox. You will also have included the typical Holbox food such as: Grilled fish fillet, Garlic fish fillet, Breaded fish fillet, Spicy fish fillet, Grilled fish fillet. butter fish fillet, fried fish, chicken milanesa or seafood soup.
